AUTUMN MOON FESTIVAL:

AS THE ANCIENT CHINESE CELEBRATED IT

 

SPONTANEOUS POETRY AND  DANCE UNDER THE MOON

ON THE RIVER

What:         Celebrate the Mid-autumn festival, as the ancient Chinese celebrated it (they had poetry, wine and dance)

 

How:           Bring your favorite classical poems, from Tang dynasty onwards (in English or Chinese), and your own beverage, and help re-create the ancient ambience along the Chicago river, with spontaneous poetry readings, dance and fellowship in the park, and quiet ballroom dancing under the pavilion

 

When:        7:30 pm, Saturday, October 7, 2006

 

Where:       Ping Tom Memorial Park

300 W. 19th St. Chicago

(North of Chinatown Square)
